If we all powered our cars with natural gas, that would be a good thing.

We need to find ways to use more of the energy we have available here in the US, and not have to continue importing oil from our enemies.

LNG like coal? Good luck to that. Although more proven reserves are helping to make natural gas more like a commodity.

If they could get NG into mainstream auto fuel use it could start a price war between gas from oil and NG. What a wonderful place it would be.

Natural gas is really a sleeper alternative to crude oil products. It deserves further use especially as an auto fuel.

We should have been using it already. Other countries are using natural gas in vehicles. Cut the co2 and OPEC too!

Storm254 is on the money! We need to develop CNG further than we have in this country. We currently use it in our major cities to power our buses and some utility company vehicles. It wouldn't be very difficult to filter it down to public use starting with pickups and suvs and go from there, if necessary.

NG is definitely the way to go IN THE SHORT TERM.....while we develop viable alternatives. Whatever it takes to put OPEC and their ilk out of business.

We have plenty of natural gas of our own if we could only be allowed to remove it from the ground. They say we have the largest natural gas supplies of any country in the world so let's get into it.

while burning NG may be a bit "cleaner" than coal, the operative phrase in this article is "The history of fossil-fuel extraction suggests that these processes may do harm." Natural Gas is not the long term answer. And the greater lengths that producers are using to extract it is enough to scare the heck out of anyone concerned about quality of ground water supply.

It seems to me we have more natural gas than we do oil so we should be using NG as much as possible.

Use it to heat homes and other situations where it is most practical - not to generate electricity or power cars.

At the very less, all buses and trucks should be using NG...cars, I'm not too sure about, but we should be given the choice.
